The Last Debate: Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman
October 12, 2010 the two candidates running for Governor, Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown met again for their final debate before elections. This was a very interesting debate due to the fact that they would attack each other back and forth. During this debate Jerry Brown apologized to Meg Whitman for a disrespectful comment she received from his associate. Meg Whitman didn't want to accept the apology because she said that the citizens of California deserved better,“I think every Californian and especially women know exactly what’s going on here, and that is a deeply offensive term to women.” Whitman said. They also debated about the state's immigration, education and financial issues. Meg Whitman says she want to help solve the problem of illegal immigrants but Jerry said that she is just going to use them and then let them go back, just like she did to the servant who was working for her for nine years. She fired her just for being undocumented. Jerry said he donated 1.1 million dollars for school and education and Meg said she want better public schools in California. During the debate Meg argued how she was going to create jobs for the unemployment by cutting off regulation an improving state finances, Jerry argued that if he won have a meeting that would go over the budget plan. I think its true that Meg Whitman wouldn't be a good Governor because she says that she wants to help the illegal immigrants but i guess she is only going to take advantage of their working skills and then send them back from where they came from.

Freedom of Religion Article
The article, "NC teen: Nose ring more than fashion, it's faith" talks about how Ariana Locono, a 14 yr old girl was suspended from school for having her nosed pierced and refusing to take it off. Ariana Locona was suspended from Clayton High School, the school where she attends because her nose piercing violated the school's dressing code. Ariana and her mom Nikki belong to a church of body modification where they express their faith through tattoos and piercings. After the suspension, Ariana and her mother Nikki went back to school where she was suspended again for 5 more days and then again for 10 days. Both believe that they are taking away their freedom of religion, as Ariana states "It's in the First Amendment for me to have freedom of religion." The school is not respecting their religion and i believe that they have the right to express themselves in any way they want.
